Michael Turpenoff grew up in the Midwestern U.S. as part of the Hungarian and Macedonian emigre communities. He holds graduate degrees in both studio art and research psychology, providing a distinct artistic perspective and technical approach. Galleries across the U.S. have exhibited his work, and it is included in both private and public collections.
Media include pastel chalk, compressed black charcoal, ink, acrylic paint and multi-media sculpture and assemblage.
Through the ages, increasing knowledge and scientific discoveries informed art and offered new artistic strategies.
